I'm Emily and I'm honored you're here. I’m an Indianapolis mom with a passion for authentic imagery that truly makes you feel.
I’ve been a wedding photographer for 10 years. After leaving for the night after second-shooting my first wedding, I felt it in my bones – photography was it for me. I finished my degree and taught kindergarten for 4 years while photographing 20+ weddings each year. In 2013, my husband joined my business and we’ve been photographing weddings together, as Ivan & Louise ever since.
When I was pregnant with our first child, I attended a workshop where my desire and love of motherhood photography was ignited. The dream of opening a studio was born and 3 years + 3 babies later, here we are.
Motherhood is the hardest job – it has rocked me to my core and after battling postpartum depression, my passion for all mothers to have images like these is even stronger.
In my free time, you can find me feeding the littles, hiking the nearby parks, trying to be a plant lady (I’ve got a long way to go), working on building a little self-care routine, but mostly just trying to be present with my family. I cannot wait to have the chance to photograph you and your little ones. Thanks for being here.

Two photographers on your wedding day means we provide a sense of security and creativity we wouldn't be able to provide if we weren't together. We can be in two places at once if needed, we capture two different angles throughout day, one of us can help with posing while the other is shooting, and working together gives us the opportunity for one of us to get the classic photographs while the other is getting more photos of the more spontaneous moments through different angles. This allows us to provide our couples with a wide variety of images that truly tell the story of their day.
There are two of us
Because we photograph every wedding together, we are able to provide our couples with a strong, consistent style. While we have our own areas of expertise and our own styles of creativity, we have become confident in our individual roles and that means a consistent shooting style for you to benefit from! We are always striving to become better and love having the support and encouragement from each other to do so as we work together to build your first heirlooms as a married couple.
Consistency
We are both main photographers on your wedding day, as opposed to one main shooter and one second shooter. We can depend on each other for certain images or angles throughout the day, we know what each other needs with just a quick glance, and it provides more stability for you. We never have to worry about securing a second shooter or who that person may be. We know every time. It's the two of us at every wedding. You can trust and depend on us more because we are married and in the business together.

engagement
After we've secured your date with a signed contract and deposit, we can start planning your engagement session. Engagements are a special time to capture some sweet images of the two of you and allows you to become comfortable in front of the camera. We will work with you on everything from choosing the location, to outfit choices, and guiding you in posing in a way that lends itself to natural, loving, and joyful images. You will receive your engagement gallery within 2 weeks.

After your engagement session is complete, we absolutely love staying connected and involved in your planning. There may be a year between your engagement session and wedding day or maybe just two months, but either way, we are here to help you find other vendors to add to your creative team, build your timeline - keeping in mind the venue, season, lighting, and weather, and simply support you through the sweet season of being engaged.

wedding day
This is when we pour our hearts into your images. We photograph your wedding day with you and your future in mind. We hope when you look back on your images that you're reminded of those sweet, sweet moments so much so that you can always feel the way you felt in those moments. We are there to tell the story of your day as it naturally unfolds - styling the little details just so, guiding you in posing, and documenting the love that surrounds you.

wedding gallery
After your wedding, you'll receive a few sneak peeks from your wedding day! We get so excited to share images with you as soon as possible. Your full gallery will be delivered within 8 weeks. It will include all high-resolution, edited images from your day. You may share the link with your friends and family, download the images, and order high quality, professional prints to be delivered to you.

wedding album
Hand-crafted beautiful linen, leather, or suede albums are available to all of our couples. We believe in preserving your images - creating heirlooms through your life together, and these gorgeous albums are the perfect way to start. You will have the option to select favorites you'd like included and we will work with you on the design of your album until it's exactly what you're hoping for. From there, it will be handmade locally here in Indianapolis and delivered to you to cherish and enjoy.
